There’re no words to describe this video other than “magical”. “Sunshine & City Lights” radiates that chillin’, “not too shabby”, night out feeling, in a refreshingly naïve (for a change) way. It’s good to see kids -cause even though according to protocol they’re teenagers, they’re still children- enroll themselves in activities kids their age would actually go for.
Furthermore I love the colours used. To me, magenta, pink and grey are the outstanding protagonists.

I first saw this music video back in 2003 and immediately fell head over heels for it. So much it’s my favorite clip till date.
Why do I like it so much? Allow me to elaborate!
1. The colour palette. Look at those green and blue tones dominating the screen. They’re everywhere; on the singer and actor’s clothing, on the general architectural infrastructure. Nothing is left to chance. Everything has an order, a proportionate distribution which provides a sense of equilibrium.
Complementary colours are set in pairs; lots of cyan and yellow, purple and yellow and blue and orange present throughout the entire video.
2. Light. Dreamy much? I mean, look at the different morning/ afternoon/ night light instances.
3. Filming Location. Santa Monica Pier. Wooden boards, railings, light posts, amusement park games, each and every one of these elements providing a wide variety of attractive geometric figures where the softness of curves and the hardness of straight lines intertwine to conceive a beyond beautiful landscape.

The music video for James Arthur’s single “Down”, features a beautiful portrayal of London combined with wonderfully animated doodles.

This video is currently among my favorites. The chromatic palette, the extremely detailed close-ups (along with its clearness and smooth definition), the luminosity, the sexual and erotically charged environment (props to the actors!) and the atmosphere resulted by these elements combined, converts this clip into an outstanding visual feast.

Ladies and gentlemen; the uniqueness, freshness, visual rawness of Fiona Apple

Three words: FLIR Thermal Camera. Stunning! Gave me that “dance club” vibe right away.
